Privacy statement
How English Bookkeeper handles your personal data. Last updated: 17 September 2026.
Who we are
English Bookkeeper is a trade name of ProFor Interim Management, based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, registered with the KvK under number 69321744. We are responsible for the processing of personal data described below. Questions? Email info@englishbookkeeper.nl.
What data we collect and why
- Contact form and email: your name, email address, business type and the information you choose to share. We use this to answer your request and schedule the health check (legal basis: your consent and steps prior to a contract).
- Clients: identification and business details, financial administration and tax data needed to provide our services (legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations, including tax law and the Dutch anti-money laundering act, Wwft).
How long we keep it
Contact requests that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted within 12 months. Client administrations are kept for at least 7 years because of the Dutch tax retention obligation. Client identification records under the Wwft are kept for 5 years after the relationship ends.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. Our website and email are hosted by Mijndomein in the Netherlands. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our mailbox by email and are not stored in a database on the website. We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our bookkeeping software, under data processing agreements. Where a provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply. We share client data with the Belastingdienst and KvK only when filing on your behalf.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, two-factor authentication on all systems and access limited to what is needed for our work.
