Why English Bookkeeper

I spent 25 years in the finance teams of international companies in apparel, sports, media, gaming and consumer goods, and since 2018 I have worked as an interim finance leader. I have led group reporting for more than 50 companies, managed large finance system implementations and carried end responsibility for statutory reporting and Dutch compliance.

Along the way I met many talented freelancers and founders who had moved to the Netherlands. They were great at their work, but stressed about btw returns, provisional assessments and letters from the Belastingdienst they couldn't read. Their options were often a budget online service with little personal contact, or a traditional firm that only communicates in Dutch.

English Bookkeeper is the service I wished they had: one senior, personal contact who takes care of the bookkeeping and tax returns, explains things in plain English and replies quickly.
