Common questions from BV owners
When does my BV have to file its annual accounts?
The accounts must be prepared within five months after year end, which shareholders can extend by up to five months. Once adopted, they must be filed with the KvK within eight days. For a calendar-year BV, the latest filing date is usually in the second half of the following year, depending on extensions.
What corporate tax rate does a BV pay?
In 2026, profit up to €200,000 is taxed at 19% and profit above that at 25.8%.
Do you issue compilation or audit reports?
No. Small BV's are not required to have one. If your bank or an investor asks for a formal report from a registered AA or RA firm, I can work together with a partner firm.
I'm thinking about moving from ZZP to a BV. Can you help?
Yes. I can compare both options for your situation and help set up the bookkeeping for your new BV. Read ZZP or BV? How to choose for a first overview.
